4. Once you request an appointment, our scheduling manager will be in touch within 48 hours to confirm your time picked. At that time, you will also receive our intake packet (if new patient).

5. CANCELLATION POLICY: It is important to note why we ask for credit card information upon requesting an appointment. Once confirmed, we save this slot for you and reserves the practitioner's time. Per our cancellation policy, if an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance or a no-show occurs, we do automatically charge the card on file. If cancelled or rescheduled in ample time (>24 hours), there is no fee. Your time is valuable. Our practitioner's time is valuable. We ask that you respect our time, and we promise to respect yours.

6. WE ACCEPT INSURANCE! This will be uploaded when you get the intake packet from our scheduling manager. Your card will not be charged until insurance comes back with an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) for the amount due. Sometimes, they cover at 100%...which means nothing out of your pocket. Other times, a copay, coinsurance, or amount applied to deductible is due.

We look forward to having you at our practice and thank you for trusting our team of practitioners to take this journey with you.

Indirect calorimetry is a specialized medical service used to determine an individual's specific calorie needs based on their unique metabolic rate. This service is a critical component of individualized nutrition plans as it helps to establish a precise understanding of the energy required for daily activities, exercise routines, and maintaining overall health.

Through indirect calorimetry, a healthcare professional will measure an individual's oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production to determine their resting metabolic rate (RMR). This information is then used to calculate an estimated energy expenditure for daily activities, exercise, and overall calorie needs.

Individuals who would benefit from indirect calorimetry include those looking to maintain a healthy weight, athletes seeking to optimize their performance, individuals with certain medical conditions such as obesity, and those undergoing significant lifestyle changes such as pregnancy or aging.

Overall, indirect calorimetry is an essential component of individualized nutrition plans as it allows healthcare professionals to tailor dietary recommendations based on an individual's unique metabolic rate, resulting in more effective weight management and better overall health outcomes.
An Inbody Scan is a non-invasive health assessment tool that accurately measures body composition and provides detailed information about the mass, distribution, and percentage of fat, muscle, and water in the body. With this information, individuals can better understand their overall health status and make informed decisions about diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes to achieve their health goals.

During an Inbody Scan, the individual stands on a specialized scale while holding onto electrodes, which sends a safe and low-level electrical current through the body to measure the resistance of the different tissues. The scan takes only a few minutes, and the results are printed out immediately, providing a clear breakdown of body composition measurements such as total body weight, body fat percentage, fat mass, muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, and more.

The Inbody Scan is an essential tool for anyone interested in achieving optimal health and fitness levels. Athletes, bodybuilders, and fitness enthusiasts can use the results to identify areas for improvement, track progress, and make adjustments to their training routine. Health professionals, such as doctors, nutritionists, and personal trainers, can also use Inbody Scans to tailor customized diet and exercise plans, monitor the effectiveness of treatments, and prevent and monitor chronic diseases.

Overall, an Inbody Scan is a fast, accurate, and non-invasive way to obtain valuable information about the body's composition and health status. Whether you're looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or just maintain a healthy lifestyle, an Inbody Scan can help you take the first step towards achieving your goals.
