Telemedicine services refer to the use of digital communication technologies, such as video calls, phone calls, and online platforms, to provide healthcare services remotely. This allows patients to consult with healthcare professionals, including doctors, specialists, and therapists, without visiting a healthcare facility in person.
Telemedicine follow-up refers to the remote continuation of care after an initial consultation, treatment, or procedure, using digital platforms like video calls, phone calls, or online messaging. These follow-ups are particularly valuable for managing chronic conditions, recovering from surgery, or monitoring progress after an illness or treatment. The primary goal of telemedicine follow-up is to ensure that patients are recovering well, address any concerns or complications early, and adjust treatment plans if needed—all without requiring an in-person visit.
