Pellet Insertion for Established HRT Patients This appointment is for patients already on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) pellets who are due for their next insertion.
What to Expect:
A brief review of your symptoms and response to previous pellet therapy
The area will be cleansed with a sterile solution.
A local anesthetic (lidocaine) will be used to numb the insertion site.
A small incision will be made, and the pellet will be inserted using a trocar (a hollow needle) to deliver a steady release of hormones over time.
The site will be covered with a sterile bandage after the procedure.
Post-Procedure Care:
Keep the area clean and dry for 24-48 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, or soaking in water for 3-5 days.
Mild bruising, swelling, or tenderness at the insertion site is normal and should subside within a few days.
Contact the office if you experience signs of infection, such as excessive redness, swelling, or discharge.

Hormone Therapy Follow-Up Appointment This follow-up appointment is for patients currently undergoing hormone therapy with Tina Higgins, CRNP.
Regular follow-ups (every 3 months) are essential to ensure your hormone therapy remains safe and effective. At your appointment we will review any current symptoms and your overall well-being, discussion any side effects or concerns, required 3 month lab work to monitor hormone levels, and make any adjustments to dosage or treatment as needed. Please bring a list of any new medications or changes in your health since your last appointment.
