Rescheduling/Cancelation.
Please ensure cancelation/ rescheduling requests be made in advance by 24+ (or more) hrs; as less than 24 hours is often not enough time to replace the appointment, any cancellation request after that time is subject to charge the full rate.  Possible exceptions include unsafe driving conditions, illness, and/or other emergency.  
Payment
is collected after the visit using Card, VenMo, Cash, or Check.  

The service prices  apply to the initial office visit (s). Individuals whose treatment options include more consistent appointments are eligible to receive custom (often lower-priced) rates.   

Service prices listed are time-of-service discounts and do not reflect insurance billing. Please submit your member ID with your appointment booking, or bring to your initial visit.  Currently accepting: Auto-Accident / Personal Injury (PIP) Claims, HSA/FSA Funds.  Massage Therapy: In addition to plans already listed, we accept Workers Comp of WA and AppleHealth - Community Health Plan of Washington.  We are in network for Aetna, Healthnet, Providence, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna but do not bill them directly.  For those plans, and any insurance that reimburses for out-of-network massage therapy, we will print receipts for you to submit.

Similar to a chiropractic visit, this short but practical massage can fit into a tight schedule, providing a reset that leaves patients more relaxed, at ease, and glowing.  May book twice/wk.

Tortoise Mountain Massage is a personalized blend of the following approaches:
- Taoist. 
Taoist natural medicine relies on the channel and points systems utilized in modern Acupuncture. It draws on medical traditions stretching back over 2,000 years. The patient may feel the practitioner stop at and open specific points around the system, or apply warming pressure, gentle pulling, or percussion to tissue regions to help balance temperature, tone, and fluidity.  
- Osteopathic. "Bone-Listening" technique which includes placing gentle pressure on muscles to stimulate bone stretching - improving their density, and their production of nutrient-rich blood, which helps tight muscles to become warm and relaxed. Because it relies on natural ways of improving energy, it feels relaxing and restorative. Compare to an experience that feels good but leaves a patient feeling drained.  
- Traditional Swedish / Deep Tissue / Sports Massage. Relaxing gliding strokes, pulling and warming tissue, and deepening pressure to work out tight muscles or stagnations. These techniques are applied within a framework that both feels amazing, and improves long-term wellness.

 - Tai Chi Chuan: Taijiquan, transliterated as "Tai Chi" includes postural contemplation that improve warmth, brain circulation, and tranquil focus.  The practitioner introduces easy-to-integrate tai chi techniques that optimize massage depth, contentment and calm - improving effectiveness.  The practitioner may also inspire easy ways to bring these tools to daily life.

For 100+ min Traditional Office Visit

The business needs to make an average of $189 per time-flexible office visit (usually 120 min and flexibility to meet longer).  $225 supports business growth.

Those who pay more than this allow Tortoise Mountain to work with patients needing a lower rate. If you are uncertain what to pay, please pay at least $225 a visit.  If that does not work for you, please let us know what will.  We will do our best to make it work.  

A lower rate may mean our frequency of working together is reduced.  

Still, we'll try our best to make a lasting difference!  

If we cannot afford to work with you in a way that we think will make a meaningful and lasting difference, we will do our best to provide you with what you need to take the next best step towards healing and optimal health.
