MENS HEALTH: NITIAL VISIT: Erectile Dysfunction | Hair Loss | Low Testosterone | Anxiety | Depression

Our Men’s Health Initial Visit is designed to provide a comprehensive, confidential evaluation of common concerns affecting sexual health, hormonal balance, mood, and overall well being.

Many men experience symptoms such as low energy, reduced libido, erectile difficulties, hair thinning, or mood changes. These concerns are often interconnected and may relate to hormonal, metabolic, cardiovascular, or psychological factors. Our goal is to identify the underlying causes and create a personalized treatment plan.

Conditions We Address:

Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
Erectile dysfunction is common and may be related to vascular health, hormone levels, stress, medications, or chronic conditions such as diabetes or hypertension. ED can also be an early indicator of cardiovascular risk.

Your evaluation may include:
  • Detailed medical and sexual history
  • Medication review
  • Cardiometabolic risk assessment
  • Hormonal testing when indicated
Treatment options are individualized and may include lifestyle optimization, oral medications, hormone therapy (when appropriate), or referral for specialty care.

Low Testosterone (Testosterone Deficiency)
Symptoms may include:
  • Low libido
  • Reduced erectile function
  • Fatigue or low energy
  • Decreased muscle mass
  • Increased body fat
  • Depressed mood or reduced motivation
Diagnosis requires both consistent symptoms and confirmed low morning testosterone levels on repeat testing. If testosterone therapy is appropriate, risks, benefits, monitoring, and alternative strategies are thoroughly discussed before initiation.

Hair Loss
Male pattern hair loss is common and may have genetic and hormonal components. During your visit we evaluate:
  • Pattern and progression of hair loss
  • Family history
  • Hormonal or metabolic contributors
Treatment options may include topical, oral, or other medically guided therapies based on your goals and medical profile.

Anxiety AND Depression
Mood changes, irritability, stress, low motivation, and sleep disturbance frequently overlap with hormonal or sexual health concerns. We provide:
  • Screening for anxiety and depressive symptoms
  • Medication review (including potential sexual side effects)
  • Discussion of treatment options including therapy referral and medication management when appropriate
Mental health is a key component of overall men’s health.

What to Expect at Your Initial Visit
Your first appointment typically includes:
  • Comprehensive medical history
  • Review of current medications and supplements
  • Focused physical examination
  • Lab work (as clinically indicated)
  • Discussion of treatment goals
  • Development of a personalized care plan
Follow up visits are scheduled to review results, monitor progress, and adjust treatment as needed.

Our Approach

We focus on:
  • Evidence based evaluation
  • Individualized treatment plans
  • Cardiometabolic risk assessment

Mens health concerns are common and treatable. Addressing them early can improve quality of life, relationships, and long term health outcomes.

TEST: Tuberculosis Skin Test Administration PPD (INSURANCE AND NO INSURANCE)

We offer Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test (PPD) administration using the standard Mantoux method for screening of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI).

The Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) is used to help identify individuals who may have been exposed to Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is commonly required for employment, school entry, healthcare workers, assisted living facilities, and other institutional settings.

What the Test Involves
  • A small amount (0.1 mL) of purified protein derivative (PPD) is injected just under the skin of the forearm
  • The procedure takes only a few minutes
  • A small raised bump (wheal) appears immediately after placement
The test must be read 48 to 72 hours after placement to measure any induration (firm swelling).

Important Return Requirement

You must return to the clinic within 48 to 72 hours for interpretation. If you do not return within this timeframe, the test will need to be repeated.

How Results Are Interpreted

Results are based on the size of induration (not redness) and individual risk factors. Interpretation thresholds vary depending on medical history and risk category.
A positive result does not diagnose active tuberculosis. Further evaluation, which may include chest X ray and additional testing, is required.

Who May Need TB Testing

  • Healthcare personnel
  • School or university students
  • Employees in congregate settings
  • Individuals with known TB exposure
  • Patients undergoing certain medical treatments
Important Information
  • Previous BCG vaccination is not a contraindication to testing
