This is not a well-child visit.
If your child has already "been checked out" and everything looks normal, but something still feels off, this is where we dig deeper.
Pediatric functional medicine visits at Teleios are designed for parents who are ready to look beyond standard labs and symptom management. We take a root-cause approach to understanding why your child isn't thriving the way they should be.
This visit may be right for your child if they struggle with:
- Chronic gut issues: constipation, bloating, loose stools, reflux, picky eating
- Fatigue, low energy, or poor sleep
- Frequent illness or immune challenges
- Skin issues: eczema, rashes, or breakouts
- Suspected food sensitivities or reactions
What we evaluate:
We use advanced functional testing to get a complete picture of what's happening beneath the surface, not just whether numbers fall within a "normal" range.
Testing options may include:
- Comprehensive stool analysis: gut microbiome, pathogens, digestive function, intestinal health markers
- Organic acids testing (OAT) : mitochondrial function, neurotransmitter metabolism, nutrient status, yeast/bacterial overgrowth
- 3x4 Genetics panel : a 176-gene analysis that identifies how your child is wired metabolically, so we can personalize nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle support based on their actual biology
- Nutritional and micronutrient panels
- Food sensitivity testing
- Standard labs reviewed through a functional lens
What to expect:
Your child's initial consultation is a 60-minute deep dive. We review their full health history, symptoms, diet, lifestyle, environment, and any prior labs or records you bring. From there, we build a personalized testing and treatment plan, not a generic protocol.
Follow-up visits review results and guide next steps with targeted, evidence-based recommendations that are practical for real families.
This is not a replacement for your pediatrician. Teleios Functional Medicine does not provide acute sick care, vaccines, or routine well-child visits. We work alongside your child's primary care provider to offer a layer of care they may not have access to otherwise.
