Essential Foundational Care

Maintain balance, feel confident, and stay well

Essential Foundational Care is designed for patients who are feeling good, stable on their hormone regimen, and ready to focus on long-term wellness, longevity, and quality of life. This plan provides ongoing, evidence-based support while maintaining direct access to your provider without the need for frequent adjustments.

This membership is available to existing patients who have been stable on hormone therapy for 12 months or more. It's appropriate for stable midlife concerns such as thyroid conditions, hair loss, PMDD, PCOS, sexual health concerns, or osteopenia. All new patients begin on Complete Comprehensive Care and may move to Essential once they reach the 12-month mark.

This plan combines hormone therapy with integrative, whole-person strategies to support lasting change and long-term thriving. All new patients begin their care with Willow Women's Health on this plan.

Complete is ideal for patients starting or actively adjusting hormone therapy, pursuing medical weight management, addressing metabolic or inflammatory conditions, managing thyroid disorders or osteoporosis, or seeking intensive support for lifestyle transformation and longevity.

New Patient Visit

Your First Step Toward Personalized, Whole-Person Care
Your first visit is a comprehensive, in-depth consultation designed to lay the foundation for an ongoing partnership in your care. At Willow Women’s Health, time is taken to truly understand you — your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, priorities, and goals — so a thoughtful, individualized plan can be created to support how you feel now and your long-term health.

Care at Willow Women’s Health spans the lifespan, with particular expertise in midlife and hormonally influenced health concerns. New patient visits commonly address perimenopause and menopause, hormone optimization, metabolic health and weight concerns, thyroid disorders, sexual health and function, gynecologic concerns (including PMDD and PCOS), bone health, and other complex or overlapping issues that are often missed in traditional care settings.

What to Expect During Your New Patient Visit
You will have extended, uninterrupted time to review your full medical and symptom history, discuss your health concerns and goals, evaluate prior testing and treatments, and consider how your symptoms fit into the context of your overall health and life. When appropriate, laboratory testing may be ordered and a personalized care plan will begin to take shape. Next steps and expectations for follow-up will also be discussed.

This visit is intentionally unhurried and designed to allow space for questions, education, and shared decision-making, so you feel heard, informed, and supported.

Our Care Model
Willow Women’s Health is a membership-based practice. This model allows for unhurried visits, direct access to your provider, and ongoing support between visits — care that is not possible within traditional insurance-based systems. After your initial visit, options for continued care will be reviewed together, including which membership level best aligns with your needs and goals.

In select situations, limited fee-for-service care may be appropriate depending on the type and scope of care needed. All options are reviewed transparently so you can make an informed decision about how to move forward.

This first visit provides the clarity needed to build a collaborative, long-term partnership focused on helping you feel better, function better, and live well, now and into the future.

What Happens After Your First Visit?
After your initial consultation, the recommended care plan and next steps are reviewed together to determine the best ongoing care pathway based on your goals, needs, and treatment plan. Typically, the next follow up is within 6-12 weeks.

Non-Membership Care — Fee-for-Service Visits

Willow Women’s Health offers fee-for-service visits for patients whose concerns can be safely and appropriately addressed through episodic care, typically one visit or up to two visits per year, and who do not require ongoing management, treatment adjustments, or follow-up.

Fee-for-service care is best suited for focused, clearly defined needs that can be addressed in a limited number of visits without the need for between-visit communication or care coordination.

Examples of appropriate fee-for-service care include annual or once-yearly trauma-informed gynecologic visits (including pelvic exams and Pap smears), annual contraception visits, IUD insertions or removals, and other women’s health concerns that reasonably require only one to two visits per year. Fee-for-service care may also be appropriate for targeted evaluations or second opinions when ongoing care is not anticipated.

Hormone therapy, menopause care, sexual medicine, metabolic and longevity care, and medical weight management are highly individualized and rarely “one-and-done.” Finding the right approach often involves thoughtful fine-tuning over time based on how a person feels, how symptoms evolve, and, in some cases, how labs respond. This process commonly includes between-visit discussions, medication adjustments, and personalized guidance that cannot be addressed during a single visit alone. For this reason, these types of care are best supported through a model that allows direct access and ongoing communication rather than episodic, visit-only care.

In traditional insurance-based settings, between-visit communication is typically handled by support staff rather than the clinician overseeing care. At Willow Women’s Health, membership-based care allows for direct provider access, timely troubleshooting, and individualized adjustments that are essential for complex and hormonally influenced care.
